[Silo Functionnality](https://help.silex.legal/en/knowledge-base/troubleshooting?hsLang=en#silo-functionnality) # Access problems in SharePoint by Silex ## A restricted folder still visible to everyone, a colleague who cannot see a document, a document still visible after access was removed: causes and fixes. ### Everyone can still see a folder I restricted Silex Visitors or Members was probably left in place. Open Manage access → Groups on the folder: if Silex Visitors (or Silex Members) still appears, click it, select No direct access and Apply. Only Silex Owners and the groups or people you granted should remain. ### I removed Silex Members but nothing changed Check that you selected No direct access and clicked Apply. The panel shows "Direct access: none" before any change — that only means the group's access comes from the site, not that it has been removed. ### A colleague cannot see a document - Check their access with Manage access on the document or its folder. - If you have just granted access, allow about 30 minutes for Silex, or re-synchronise from Connected apps. - Check that they attached the folder with the + button in the chat — Silex does not search the storage by itself. ### A document is still visible after I removed someone's access Open Manage access on the file and review the People, Groups and Links tabs. Access can come from Silex Visitors left in place, from a group, from a sharing link, or from a direct share on the file itself — a file shared individually keeps its own permissions even when its folder changes. Remove each source. ### A member says their "private" folder is visible to others A subfolder created by a member inherits the permissions of the folder above it. The account holder must restrict it, as described in the article on restricting a folder. ### A member cannot find the option to restrict a document That is expected: members have edit rights, which do not include managing permissions. Only the account holder can restrict.
