The mechanism is a personal promotional code: there is no link to click, the code is the whole mechanism. ### What do we each get? ● Your friend gets CHF 29 off their first payment, applied at checkout. ● You get CHF 29 as a credit on your next Silex invoice. ### Who can refer a friend? Any student with an active Silex Campus subscription whose student status has been verified through SWITCH eduID. ### How do I get my code? 1\. Sign up on the referral portal using the same email address as your Silex account. 2. Your personal code is issued instantly — it is based on your first name followed by the current reward amount (for example, MARIE29CHF). Your personal dashboard shows: - Your code with a copy button - The friends you have referred and their status - Your rewards To return to your dashboard later, visit the referral portal login page.   ### Why does the email address matter so much? Your reward is matched to your Silex account by email address. If you sign up on the referral portal with a different address from the one on your Silex account, the credit cannot be attributed to you. Always use the same address. ### Who can I refer? You can refer a friend who studies law and meets all three of the following conditions: 1. They have never held a paid Silex subscription. 2. They complete the SWITCH edu-ID student verification. 3. They subscribe to a Silex Campus student plan.   ### How does my friend use the code? They enter it at checkout when subscribing to a Silex Campus plan, and the CHF 29 comes off immediately. On the monthly plan, the discount may cover the full first-month cost — verify the current plan price at checkout. A payment card is still required at checkout, because the following month is billable. ### When do I receive my credit? The referral counts as soon as your friend uses the code at checkout — you do not have to wait for their second payment. The credit is then issued automatically, typically within a few hours. It is deducted from your next Silex invoice, and anything above the invoice amount stays on your account for the following ones. ### Is there a limit to how many friends I can refer? No. There is no limit on the number of friends you can refer. ### Can I get the reward as cash? No. The reward is an account credit against future Silex invoices. It cannot be paid out, refunded or transferred. If your own subscription ends, any unused credit is lost. ### What are the rules for sharing my code? Your code is personal and may only be shared privately with people you know who study law. The following actions are not permitted: - Selling or trading the code - Posting it on coupon or voucher websites - Using it in paid advertising - Referring yourself - Combining it with another promotional offer One code applies per subscription. Silex reserves the right to cancel a code, withhold a reward, or remove a participant from the programme in the event of non-compliance with these rules.   ### Can a referral be cancelled after the fact? Yes, a referral can be cancelled. If any of the following occur, the referral is invalidated and the corresponding credit is withdrawn from your account: - The referred subscriber's payment is refunded. - The subscription is cancelled within a statutory withdrawal period. - A chargeback is made.   ### Where are the full terms? The programme's terms and conditions are published on the referral portal.
