[Anonymizer Agent](https://help.silex.legal/en/knowledge-base/getting-started?hsLang=en#anonymizer-agent) # Uploading a document to the Anonymizer ## Where to find the Document Anonymizer, which file formats and sizes are supported, and how to upload and launch a job. ### Where do I find the Anonymizer? The Anonymizer is located in the Toolkit section of the Silex app. Open the Toolkit tab from the sidebar, then select the Anonymizer card to launch it. ### What file formats are accepted? The Anonymizer accepts .doc and .docx files only. PDF files are not supported as input. If your document is in PDF format, convert it to DOCX before uploading (for example, using Microsoft Word or an online converter). ### Is there a file size or page limit? Yes. The maximum file size is 100 MB and the maximum document length is 400 pages. For longer documents, split them into parts and run separate anonymization jobs. ### How do I upload my document? You can either drag and drop your file into the upload area, or click "search on your device" to browse. Once your file is selected, click the "Anonymizer" button to start processing. ### Can I upload a scanned document? The Anonymizer works with text-based .doc and .docx files. Scanned documents saved as DOCX with no proper text layer may produce unreliable results. Ensure your file contains selectable, machine-readable text before uploading. If it does not, run it through an OCR (optical character recognition) tool first. ### Can I upload multiple documents at once? Currently, the Anonymizer processes one document per job. To anonymize multiple documents, launch separate jobs.
