Inviting and managing users in your organisation

The administrator's guide: where the organisation settings are, how to invite a colleague, and how to remove one.

All actions described in this article are available to organisation administrators only.

Where do I manage my organisation?

Click your initials at the bottom left, then Subscription, then Update licences, and open Manage my organisation. This page lists your collaborators, shows how many licences remain available, and is also where single sign-on is configured.

How do I invite a colleague?

From Manage my organisation, click Invite a user and enter their email address. They receive an invitation naming you and your organisation, and create their account from that invitation.

Can Silex add a user to my organisation for me?

No. Access is managed by your organisation's administrator, and the Silex team cannot attach someone to your organisation in your place. There is one exception: if the person already has an existing Silex account, the Silex team can assist — see the troubleshooting article on invitation problems for details.

My colleague never received the invitation. How do I resend it?

From the organisation management page, delete the existing invitation and then invite the person again. They will receive a fresh link. If a new invitation to someone with no existing Silex account still never arrives, contact support@silex.legal.

How do I remove a user and free up a seat?

From Manage my organisation, remove the collaborator concerned. The licence is freed and can be reassigned to someone else by sending a new invitation.

The Invite button does not let me add anyone.

You have most likely reached the seat limit included in your plan. Check the Manage my organisation page to see how many licences remain. To purchase additional seats, see the article on adding or removing seats.

Can a colleague join my organisation on their own?

No. Joining an organisation on Silex is always by invitation from the administrator. If the colleague already has a Silex account, that account must be migrated by the Silex team before the invitation can be accepted — see the troubleshooting article on invitation problems for instructions.
