Uploading your documents to compare
How to upload the original and modified versions of a document to the Documents Comparison agent, supported formats and size limits.
Where do I find the Documents Comparison agent?
The Documents Comparison agent is located in the Toolkit section of the Silex app. Open the Toolkit tab from the sidebar, then select the Documents Comparison card to launch it.
How many documents do I need to upload?
You must upload exactly two documents: the Original document (left upload zone) and the Modified document (right upload zone). The agent compares the modified version against the original to identify what changed.
What file formats are accepted?
Both upload zones accept PDF and .docx files. You can mix formats — for example, upload a .docx as the original and a PDF as the modified version, or vice versa.
Is there a file size or page limit?
Yes, for each document: maximum file size 100 MB, and maximum 400 pages. If either document exceeds these limits, split it and compare sections separately.
How do I upload my documents?
In each upload zone (Original and Modified), either drag and drop your file or click "search on your device" to browse. You can re-upload either file at any time before launching by clicking "Re-upload a file". When both documents are ready, click the "Compare" button.
Does the order of upload matter?
Yes. Always upload the earlier or reference version as the Original document (left), and the newer or modified version as the Modified document (right). The agent uses the Original as the baseline and flags everything in the Modified version that differs from it.
Can I compare documents in different languages?
The agent is optimized for French, German, Italian, and English legal documents. Comparing two documents written in different languages is not recommended, as the agent analyzes textual differences and may not produce meaningful results across languages.
