Chat confidentiality and data security
Where your conversations are stored, who can access them, and why your data is never used to train Silex's AI models.
Where are my conversations stored?
In a Swiss sovereign cloud hosted by Infomaniak, a Swiss infrastructure provider. Your data stays under Swiss jurisdiction and Swiss data protection law.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. Data is end-to-end encrypted and is not readable by third parties, nor by Silex staff in the course of normal operations.
Is my data used to train Silex's AI models?
No. Your data belongs to you, remains yours, and is never used as training material for AI models. This applies to your questions, your conversations and the documents you submit.
Can anyone at my firm see my conversations?
No. Conversations are private to your account. Cloud storage syncs your data across your own devices, under your own account — it does not share conversations between different user accounts, even within the same firm. The only way a conversation reaches someone else is if you generate a share link yourself.
Are the documents I attach confidential?
Yes. The information in your documents remains confidential and the Silex team does not have access to it. For particularly sensitive files, the Anonymizer agent and Incognito mode provide two additional layers.
Is Silex GDPR / nLPD compliant?
Swiss sovereign hosting via Infomaniak means your data stays under Swiss jurisdiction and Swiss data protection law (nLPD). If your practice is also subject to EU GDPR, consult your own compliance advisor to confirm this meets your specific obligations — Silex does not issue legal compliance certification.
Can I work on a matter without leaving any trace?
Yes — use Incognito mode. Nothing from an Incognito session is saved, in the cloud or anywhere else, and the conversation is deleted the moment you close the window.
How do I delete my data?
Individual conversations can be deleted using the trash icon in your history. To remove everything, use the data management screen; you can export a local copy first. Deletion is irreversible once confirmed.
